Job Title: Activities Coordinator

SUMMARY:The
Activities Coordinator will assist the Youth Program Manager to provide youth
with activities from diverse cultures to enhance creativity and teach the
multi-cultures of the world
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER RELATED
DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
- Maintain a High Level of confidentiality at all times
- To assist design, compiles, and post written lesson
plans and presents a program including daily schedules with aides adhering
to the lesson plan to include all areas of learning i.e. social/emotional,
physical (fine and gross), cognitive and language
- Assist in teaching classes in various areas of culture
- To assist to arranges classroom and maintains safety
of children
- Assist to record amount of children at each meal
- Assist in clean up i.e. garbage pick-up, supplies in
proper area
- To assist to help children develop habits of caring
for own clothing and picking up and putting away supplies.
- Assist to make adjustments to schedule as needed (in
case of employee call in)
- Assist in ordering supplies for a ten day work cycle
- Assist and create and maintain current parent phone
number list
- Assist in the planning an annual plan for each child
- Assist in completing child portfolios in a timely
manner
- Assist in compiling data for reports
- Assist in planning individual and group activities to
stimulate growth in language, social and motor skills such listening to
instruction, play with others using play equipment
- Assists the evaluation of the needs and progress of
each individual child: plans and presents an appropriate program for each
individual child as needed.
- Assist the check in children on attendance sheet
- Assists to provides and deliver quality cultural
activities to youth ages 5-18 years old
- Works in conjunction with youth program staff
- Assists to coordinate, plan and assists with field
trip activities
- Assists with special events; i.e. dances, holiday
activities and fund raisers
- Assists children in practices of personal and
cleanliness and self-care
- Other related duties as assigned
- Provides educational assistance
- Attends staff in-service training
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully and or willingness to
train. Skills include but may not be limited to: written, oral communication,
typing skills, word processing and general computer skills, telephone and office
equipment skills; familiarity with secretarial duties; the ability to
communicate verbally and in writing; the ability to work independently
exercising good judgment and initiative; familiarity with the fundamental rules
of grammar and math; the ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
the ability to clearly communicate with segments of the population
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
High school Diploma or GED certificate. Experience in
field or related field
Willing to take additional training, classes courses
related to job.
