Social Service Programs
USDA STOWW Commodities
Provides food commodities once a
month. Social Services completes all
Application Intake, but does not determine if you are eligible.
Eligibility:
- Member of a federally recognized tribe living out of the city limits.
- Non-native living on tribal land.
- Must provide verification of address.
- Income Verification.
- WA State ID & Social Security card
- Household must not be receiving food stamps.
WorkFirst Program
Includes job search activity services to tribal families enrolled in a federally recognized tribe, living
within the following ZIP CODE areas are eligible, 98244, 98244, 98295, 98247,98225, and all
residents living on the Goshen Road. At your request your Case Manager can refer you
for our services.

- Mock Interviewing
- Training possibilities
- High School/GED

BIA General Assistance Program
Is a secondary or residual source
of assistance. Provides financial aid payments to those who are eligible
Eligible:
- Must complete application by appointment and in person.
- Must be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe or 1/4 or more blood quantum,
- Descendent of a member of an Indian federally recognized as eligible.
- Recognized residency is limited to those who reside on federally recognized Indian Tribes,
reservation or on Indian allotments or
near reservation areas.
