About the Program
Genesis II is a
Washington State Certified Alcohol/Drug Treatment program
licensed to provide various treatment services for residents
of Whatcom County. Our classes provide information on
alcohol, drug addiction, how it affects one's family and
life, and how to recover from these additions.
We provide a
staff of caring individuals who are certified by the State
of Washington to provide chemical dependency counseling. We
realize the importance of developing a support system and
utilizing the twelve steps of AA/NA (Alcoholics Anonymous
and Narcotics Anonymous) to emphasize a strong
spirituality. For more information about our
staff, programs available, or times of our classes, please
contact us at 360.966.7704.

Genesis II Transition House
We believe that people experience the greatest
opportunity for recovery when they live in a safe,
comfortable, and appropriate environment. Genesis II
Transition House was constructed with this in mind. We seek
to help members of our own tribe as well as our sisters and
brothers who belong to other tribes.
Our goal
is
to blend traditional Indian healing methodology with current
medical treatment protocols. We recognize the
importance of spirituality and the difference it can make
not only in the recovery process, but in living a full and
enriching life.
Why Transitional Housing?
Many of us have experienced
difficult times in our lives. Some may have been in a
residential treatment setting, or even incarcerated. We
struggled to maintain our balance in life, unsure of our
footing. Our problems seemed overwhelming, at times
insurmountable. What we really needed was a little time to
"get it together." Time to spend learning about ourselves.
Time to spend practicing new coping skills. Time to spend
healing our minds and our bodies. Time to learn hope. A
safe place where change can occur.
